Biological feature

Do Bau wood has the ability to form a special product called Tram Huong, due to disease or external influences. Based on the accumulation of plastic more or less to create Agarwood, there are different products: Hair, Tram Huong or Ky Nam.

• Hair: Due to the partial alteration of wood matter, dark lines such as hairs are formed (low amount of essential oils, often used as incense).

   

• Agarwood: Due to the incomplete differentiation of wood particles, it absorbs more Tram oil than Hair, brown, or black stripes. The better, the less floating in the water (low = submerged).

   

• Ky Nam: at best, due to the complete transformation of wood particles, absorbing a lot of Agarwood essential oil, dark brown, black, green, yellow or white. Ky Nam is heavy, submerged in water, has a bitter taste, usually formed in the core of the agarwood tree.
